V5 - Release Notes

  • New features as of release V5

    1. Introduced Material Name Source setting that controls how the material name is determined. If set to 3DX, you can choose the name from NAME, TITLE, DESCRIPTION, EIN, or SERIAL6. If set to SAPS4HANA, the system leaves the name empty during creation, SAP generates it, and the value is saved back to the configured 3DEXPERIENCE target field: EIN, TITLE, or DESCRIPTION. For updates, the system reads the material identifier from the field configured in the settings.

    1. Send Logical Structure as Functional Location (FLOC)

    2. Added Data Setting Use EIN (sap.s4hana.use.3dx.ein) to enforce a naming rule where, when enabled, Enterprise Item Number (EIN) is used as the material identifier across all payloads (e.g., Material, BOM, BOP, FLOC), with fallback to generated item number if EIN is unavailable.
